The factory transmission housings on 2011-2019 Duramax truck are prone to cracking when excessive driveline vibration is present. This can be caused by an improperly balanced driveshaft due to a dented or bent shaft or a failing u-joint. Your factory transmission housing is very heavy and is only supported by the bolts on the rear side of the transmission. Merchant Automotive has developed a solution for this common problem with this Allison transmission rear housing support. This support aids in supporting this area, adding strength, and preventing cracking on the factory housing.

Made from ⅞” .120” wall thickness DOM mild steel tubing and 3/16” plate steel, this Merchant Automotive Duramax transmission housing support is built with strength in mind. This support features a bright orange paint job with an MA logo on the center plate. Made for the off-road and harsh conditions, it can also be added to factory trucks for added support and preventative maintenance. This support brace can help save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars in future damage by preventing the housing from cracking. This transmission rear housing support is installed with basic hand tools and your factory bolts.
